This is Valerie again and I have a quick update for Beth. Everything is going as planned. The recovery process is going as all had hoped it would. She is getting up and around on her own well and is very excited about tomorrow, when she is being released to come home. Thank you for your thoughts, and I am sure you will be hearing from her soon.

hey beth good luck to you. if you need a friend i live in bakersfield too. i'm hoping to have the wls in 2001.....my thoughts and prayers are with you!!!!!!!!!!!

I am posting a great update for Beth! I am her daughter-in-law, Valerie and wanted to let you all know that her surgery went wonderfully. Her surgery began at about 8:45, and she was back in her room by 12:30. The only suprise during surgery was that her spleen was enlarged and had to be removed also. She has already turned over in bed and sat up. She is getting ready to get up and walk a bit. Her spirits are good and all is going well. I will keep you informed through her stay in the hospital. My thoughts go out to you all.
