Desiree and I met 3 years ago today, in the hospital, after we both had WLS. She has been a crucial member of my life ever since. She is an amazing support for me, even caring for me last year after my tummy tuck and thigh lift. She is truely beautiful inside and out, I am so thankful I met her, and she came into my life. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DESIREE!!!!! AND HAPPY NEW BIRTHDAY. WHAT A YEAR WE HAVE HAD, AND IT'S ONLY GOING TO GET BETTER. EVEN THOUGH WE DONT SEE EACH OTHER MUCH, YOU ARE OFTEN IN MY THOUGHTS. HAVE A WONDERFUL MARCH 4TH - IT'S GOTTA BE BETTER THAN WHAT WE WERE DOING THIS TIME LAST YEAR!!!!!

(i met desiree in the hospital - we had surgery the same day with the same doctor) desiree - just wanted to thank you for being such a great friend. i am so glad we are going through this together. you have been a great source of support and encouragement, and i just wanted to say thanks!!!!!!! see ya monday for our weigh in :-)

Desiree is home! I called the hospital this morning and they informed me that she was released yesterday! I called her house and she was asleep but her family said she was coming along very well. I will try to talk to her later and update with more details. -Kim

I spoke with a family member of Desiree this afternoon and she did great! Desi had some concerns that they may not be able to complete her sugery Lap, but there were no problems and they successfully completed her lap. According to her family the surgeon stated she was very pleased with the way the surgery progressed. I believe she was in surgery for five hours but will confirm that once I get a chance to talk to her family again. She was still in the surgical recovery room when I called and there was no need to place her in ICU which she was told may happen. She hasn't been given a room number yet but will be on the fifth floor of Christiana. I will update when I get more information. Welcome to the otherside Desiree! Wooohoooo ;)
