James M. Kane Sr.

"Well, I had my surgical consult yesterday. I saw Dr. Kane Sr. He is a very nice pleasant man. He was very up front and saw that I had done my homework so he didn't give me tons and tons of redundant stuff. He was glad that I was near the end of my process and not at the beginning, so he said I should be having surgery soon. Then he told me what I was dreading the most--that I would not be able to have it done LAP because I was too heavy. (BIG SIGH) He says the bigger you are, the bigger your liver tends to be. So, then I asked if it would be at all possible and he said that they would need to look at the size of my liver. He called in his son, Dr. Kane Jr. (he's a cutie) and they did an ultrasound of my liver, right then and there and said there is too much FAT in the left lobe of my liver so it would be very dangerous to do me LAP. Both of them were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about their business. Anyone I see that is thinking about having WLS, I am going to send them to this group of surgeons. They are EXCELLENT! "
