"I met with Dr. Leverton on 2/21/02. I liked Dr. Leverton and found her to be very professional and knowledgable. She was thorough in her explanations and answered all my questions. In fact, she answered many of my questions even before I had the opportunity to ask them. She really stressed that this is only a tool and not the cure all. She also emphasized the importance of aftercare and following the program after surgery.
I think the only downside of my visit with the doctor was that during her explanation of the surgery process, I felt like I was in a class lecture rather than her talking directly to me. However, after she sat down and I began asking questions, it became more one on one.
As for the staff, everyone was nice and friendly from the moment I enetered the office.
I would recommend Dr. Leverton and the BTC in Wylie for anyone thinking of having WLS.
