Cabell Huntington Hospital (COE)

"I had the most wonderful nurse, her name was Marilyn. She was right on top of things and very supportive and helpful to me. She made my stay a lot better."

Marsha Copley

"Marsha really cares about us Bariatric patients. She constantly gives of herself for classes, consults, support group meetings. We really do appreciate her."

David Denning

"He didn't spend to much time in the room with me. Explained the surgery, checked my vitals and left. I know that he's an excellent surgeon so the fact that he didn't spend a lot of time one on one with me didn't bother me. He does his thing and out the door he goes, what doctor don't? Can't really say much about his bedside manner because I didn't spend enough time with him to form that type of opinion, he is quiet though, however, bedside manner doesn't make you a good surgeon. This wouldn't be the first surgery he's done on me or my family, so we all know him. His office staff is friendly and helpful. They do have a structured aftercare program and encourage that you join the support group. Surprisingly he didn't address the risks of the surgery, he did give me a booklet that did, but I didn't ask either, I already know. I would have to rate him as a great surgeon I hope we have a good (long term) surgeon/patient relationship."

Patti Marcum

"Dr. Marcum seemed to be geniunely concerned about my wellbeing. I'm glad I found her. She's so soft spoken, and polite. I like her a lot."
