I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.**Hugs**

I felt aweful for the first four weeks post-op and had NO energy; I didn't want to get off the couch. I thought I would never feel better and that I had made an aweful mistake having the surgery. I finally feel better! I'm five weeks post-op and I've lost 23 pounds. After a struggle to get my low blood pressure under control I am starting to feel like myself again. The scales still aren't moving as fast as I exprected, but my clothes are fitting better and my body has changed so much with the little weight I've lost.

Jes, it is normal for you to find the scale sticking for a bot every once in awhile. Mine did also about 3 -4 weeks out. I talked to my doctor about it and she said some people lose a little here and a little there while others (ME) lose in chunks. You will go along and seem not to lose anything and then the scale moves 3 pounds! Hang in there. For a while there I thought my surgery wouldn't "take". Now I am 2 months post-op and 49 pounds down. Good luck.

It's been 18 days since my surgery and I've lost 20 pounds so far. I was on the pureed diet for about four days after coming home from the hospital and then I've been on the solid food diet (well chewed) since. My doctor told me that was fine just to make sure and get enough fluids. I'm still having trouble getting in the habit of drinking water all day. I stopped measuring my food about a week after my surgery and now just let my pouch tell me when I am full. I still feel extrememly fatigued and I still have bouts of nausea and dizzy spells. Is this normal? How long does it last?

Jes - you are an adult and must make adult decisions in the best interest of yourself and of your children. If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. Best wishes.
