Hey Linda, unfortunately the only way to beat the plateus are to excercise more and DIFFERENTLY! Use cross training techniques and turn it up a notch. Eliminate carbs from your life for a period of 2 weeks (I.E. follow Dr. Atkin's diet to the letter) and see if that doesn't get you going. It worked for me! Best of luck!

Hi all...please accept this apology for not updating sooner. I am almost one month out, and I have to honestly say, it hasn't been the easiest month! I overdid it a few times and set myself back....the pain meds did such a good job I thought I was superwoman! I am down 20 pounds as of May 9, and will know the new total on Friday when I have my one month followup. I am still sore, but hope that is normal. The drain was the worst part for me....the scars are almost gone, and I am experimenting with pureed foods, but haven't found any favorites except refried beans and Cream of Wheat. This, too , shall pass they tell me!! I haven't even been online to check the board, so I don't even know how everyone is doing...shame on me!!! I am back now, and you will probably get sick of me soon enough!! Be blessed and thanks for all the messages on my surgery page!!! Love you guys!

Me and Jen had a nice visit with Linda and her family last night in the hospital. She is supposed to go home today friday I believe. She looked great, but learned its better to sit up for awhile after drinking anything. Funny to see Jen, herself a post op offering advice like I did with her. Jen sometimes didnt like my advice:( Anyhow it was a great visit and glad to see linda on the lighter side. Incidently the NEW bariatic floor at magee hospital is fantastic, definetely a great idea....
