(9-1-02) Well I am on the other side. POst-op 5 days. ONly problem during surgery was I stopped breathing a few times (sleep apnea, whiich I had previously tested negative for), and I ran a fever may last 2 days there. I was supposed to come home the day after surgery, but I had to stay an extra 3 days because of fever, and sleep apnea. Feeling pretty good, everynight I have nightmares of food though. LOve to all my supporters.

Jennifer, I just wanted to send my warmest wishes to you regarding your upcoming surgery! I want you to know that I have you and your surgeon and family in my prayers BIG TIME! Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. Dr. E is going to do my surgery too, although I do not have a date. I just went to the group meeting last night. I was really impressed with him. I know he will do a great job for you! Man you must be excited and scared at the same time. I did not really feel that all this was real until last night. I really thought that the medial RNY would be the best option for me too. Please let me know how you do. I meet the nutritionist next tuesday. I will think about you and send my prayers your way. Good luck on your coming surgery. My prayers are with you, and hoping for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing. Make sure you walk, and keep up your breathing exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS! See you on the other side.

Jennifer, I am so pleased that you have gotten your surgery date. I hope and pray everything goes well. I am a near neighbor (west of Berkeley Springs). If I can help please let me know.
