~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

I made it!!!!!! Surgery went well and I came home Friday, August 8, 2003 at approximately 2 p.m. My tummy is a little sore, so I won't be able to share much this time. The greatest challenge for me was, and still is, the excruciating back pain from lying in one position on the OR table for so long. It isn't so bad anymore, but my doctor had a difficult time keeping me anywhere near comfortable the first day. When I awoke in Recovery my hands and arms refused to move. It was as if they were paralysed, and in a way that's what happened. The nerves were asleep from being stretched and in one position too long. Similar problem when I had a hysterectomy some years ago. I can not stress enough the importance of trying to get your surgeon to understand beforehand the kind of pain you very well might experience post-op from factors other than the surgical incision. I spoke with my surgeon several times pre-operatively, and he tried, but it still took too long post-op to get relief. I'm still glad that I had the surgery, and feel good. Thanks for the kind words and warm prayers!! Got to rest a little. Take care, Everyone!!!!

Thanks again to everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers. The same from me to all of you. It's difficult to sleep tonight because of the excitment of finally having my goal within reach. I'm not afraid, just excited and happy. My family and friends have called and emailed to wish me well, plus most of my last minute preparations are complete. We'll be leaving home around 4 a.m. for the drive to Fairhope. Don't want to be late!!! This day would never have been possible without ObesityHelp.com's information, guidance, education, and wonderful members. You've shown me that I'm NOT alone, no matter what. Stay focused, may God Bless you all. We'll do this together.

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.
