ANGEL REPORTING FOR DUTY********** Luisa had her surgery yesterday, the surgeon came out of the OR with two thumbs up! He said Luisa did spectacular and the operation was a success. She had the LAP RNY as planned. I snuck into the recovery room and although she was in a lot of pain, she smiled a few times and hung in there. She looked great, ok maybe not her noramlly beautiful self...but for being in surgery for 3 hrs she looked fantastic. I spent the day with her from the second she got to the hospital just up until visiting hours were over that evening. She had a bout with a bit of GAS pain, but hung in there like a trooper. I called her early this morning, she was already sitting up...had been up and walking and was coming off pain meds and feeling great. I want to thank FRANKIE the med assistant for getting Lu on her feet...he was a God Sent to me when I was in 2 weeks ago and I made sure he knew my buddy needed his help yesterday. Luisa you did it honey, I am so proud of you! Welcome to the Losing side, Happy Birthday! I love you my friend! :) JC

Luisa, Take a deep breath, calm down, you will do great. God will be watching over you, and will not let anything happen. You will be in our thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery, skillful handed surgeron, speedy recovery, and wonderful weightloss. Hang in there. I wanted to congratulate you on your upcoming surgery, I'm sure you are doing a happy dance, accompanied by some "NERVES", but dont worry be happy! You are in my thoughts and prayers, I hope you are up and out and about real soon. Cathy Whitmer
