1/23/02 2:35pm pst - Just spoke with Millie she sound pretty darn good for someone that just had open WLS less than 24 hours ago... She said she has to have ice chips for 3 days before and other liquids, even water! She was kinda disapointed that the Dr. was late getting to her and she had to wait till 4pm (I think the WLS was going to be at 1pm, but not sure). She also said her dr. had just come by and he's a real nice guy (just not a timely one,lol) She hasn't gotten up to walk yet.. But they have just changed her medication in hopes that will help her feel "not so out of it." That's all for now :-)

7pm pst.... Just spoke to Millie's daughter and Millie is doing fine... in a little pain but otherwise doing ok.... Surgery started around 4pm and was finished in 2 hours... So everything seems to be going as planned :-)
