Terry Simpson

"I called Dr. Simpson's office and attended a meeting to see about having WLS with Dr. Simpson. It was held in his office, there were about 8 people attending and he gave a very informative talk explaining the different surgeries, the dangers and answered any questions we could think of. I had already done all the research I could regarding Dr. Simpson and was confident he was a good surgeon. Dr. Simpson also has written a book regarding WLS and I found it very informative. I had Lap Band Surgery on 5/23/05 with Dr. Simpson. After reading his book, all I would think of after surgery was 'walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip'. So I walked and sipped. It's been two weeks since surgery and I haven't had any regrets. One other thing that I read as a recurring theme with WLS patients preop are problems with the Surgeons office staff. Dr. Simpson's office staff is great. Kathleen his Bariactric Coordinator has had WLS herself and understands our concerns. She has answered any questions I had and promptly. She submitted my file to insurance before I expected, called to let me know it had been submitted, and then called to let me know the insurance company had given approval. So if anyone is looking for a Surgeon, I recommend Dr. Simpson, and also the Lap Band. "

Maryvale

"I was a little nervous about Maryvale Hospital, but I worried for nothing. Everyone was very pleasant and kind to me. The office staff and all the nursing staff were wonderful. I wasn't expected to spend the night, but ended up staying overnight and had a private room. "
