"I had to wait to see him as he got held up. But didn't mind waiting, i met w/ another staff member who had it done and got alot of my questions answered. Dr. marymor can seem a bit offstandish but really knew what he was talking about and had the confidence to back up. After talking a bit he seemed to be not as stiff and I think people need to do thier research before hand so they know the questions to ask prior. It can be intimidating if you have no idea and just go on a whim. He very much emphazied on the aftercare which is very important and let me know that the Barix center has support group that meets on a monthly basis and gives you a chance to meet others who had or will have surgery. It was very important to me to go over any and all risk factors of this surgery and he was clear and concise. The staff i met were wonderful and warm, I tend to joke more when nervous and I actually felt at ease while there. I think surgical competence along w/ a bedside manner is extremly important. You want to be comfortable w/ your dr and not be afraid to ask questions that you may later reqret. This dr prefers the open procedure rather than the laproscopic, but at first I was a bit disappointed but after asking him why, i felt more comfortable and would not be a big incision. "

"I've been to several different hosptials for various different surgeries and was pretty impressed with this hosptial. **post op** Have to say I loved this hopsital, they are specialized in caring for Bariatric patients as that is all they do and I have to say, felt extremly safe and well cared full. I ended up w/ no roommate so had my own room, room was very nice size. My parents were impressed with this hospital as well. I think i much better fared off being at Barix Clinic than anywhere else. Thanks Barix Clinic. "
