Lisa is doing very well, even tried some egg. She sounds good and is seeing her Doc on 9-7-01. At 14 days post-op she's lost appx 19 lbs. ((hugz))

Spoke with Lisa today via email, all is well and everything is looking good. 16 lbs since 8/23/01 !!

GREAT NEWS !!! Lisa has been discharged and will be on her way home shortly. She said she feels "remarkably beter" and is pretty glad to be leaving. Lisa has already lost 11 pounds !!!

Lisa . .my surgery was 8/17 . .open RNY.. home 8/19 . . today I am on full liquids .. kind of boring already . .everything is toooo sweet . brush my teeth 4 times a day . .I am walking about 1/2mile/ 15minutes twice a day in addition to normal walking . . .I take 1/2 a Percocet 3 times during the day and take a full Percocet before bed . . . still dozing off and on . .but doing pretty good. . .any questions . .email me . .good luck . . we will make it through this early boring phase

Lisa, way to go, I knew you would get through surgery fine in Dr. Leitman's hands :) Just be sure to walk, walk, walk in the hospital even though I know you are sore. It was about 3 weeks when I realized that I was able to sit up, lay down, bend over, etc.. again without any discomfort at all, as if I had never had surgery as far as physical abilities went aside from lifting which is a no-no. Be kind to yourself, relax and do what the Dr. tells you and all will be fine, really! Best of wishes and happy thoughts to you :-)

hi again, just got off the phone with Lisa, she had kinda a rough afternoon but things seem a bit better now. If you are a recent post-op she would love to hear how your 1st week or so was. That way she can gauge how she is doing.

Hi Lisa, I hope that you are recovering well! I know you will feel great to get back home. I am scheduled for surgery 8/31/01 and by that time you will be on the road to Slimville! :-) Good Luck hon..
