Hi Deb, I'm part of an HMO, and don't know how much advice I can give, but here goes. Maybe you could ask the Drs office to allow you to make payments, or maybe they will take what the ins. co pays as full pmt? Sometimes they will do that. It's just a thought and it might be worth asking. I would also try to call your carrier find out if there is a way around it. It does seem odd that they would not pay the doctor visit. HELLO DEB, I JUST WANTED TO WISH YOU ALL OF GOD'S BLESSINGS ON YOUR UPCOMING SURGERY DATE!!! IT WILL BE HEAR BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!!! I JUST HAD MY SURGERY W/DR.MAGNUSON ON 5/13/02...IT'S BEEN LESS THEN A MONTH AND I'M DOING REALLY WELL WITH THE HEALING PROCESS AND EVEN EATING SOLID FOOD TOO!!! IT REALLY WASN'T HALF AS BAD AS I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE, AND I AM A COWARD WHEN IT COMES TO HOSPITALS AND MAJOR SURGERY!!! YOU'LL LOVE DR.
