I spoke to Amanda this evening. She is out of the hospital. She is very sore of course but otherwise seems to be ok. there is some concern about her protine intake. she is having a hard time with it and due to the fact that she has no one there to help her and due to the soreness she isnt really up to getting up and doing every thing for her self just yet. Hopefully the next couple days will be better. Carla

I just talked to Amanda 3:30 pm She sounds great, says she dont feel too bad, she still sounded a little "sleepy" but had a nice conversation and looking forward to talking to her again tomorrow. Carla

I was finally able to talk to Amandas nurse this evening around 5 Pm Florida time, she said the surgery went great and Amanda was resting in her room. I decided to wait untill tomorrow 20th to call and hopefully Amanda will feel talking a bit. I am in Indiana and Amanda is in Florida so the only link i have is the phone. I am so impressed with the folks on this message board, what wonderful support, you are all great. I wish you could all meet Amanda and see what a beautiful lady she is, I am so proud of her and her great courage. Looking forward to talking to her tomorrow. Carla

I just called the hospital to check on Amanda, it is 1:45 pm in Tallahassee, Florida and they said She done great and is in recovery, I will be calling back this evening to check on her again and hopefully be able to speak to a nurse.. today she had not been assigned a room yet and i got the info from a second source. Hopefully this evening i can speak to her nurse. I will post again after i talk to some one else. Carla Harris
