"My first thought was that Dr. Laws was a little older than I expected. Actually, that's is not a problem for me. He is wise and has lots of experience with bariatric surgeries under his belt. I found him very warm after he got to know me: I felt very comfortable. He was up front about the risks of the surgery, and it scared me to death. If you aren't sure about what you are doing it will definitely help you make a decision. A surgery of this type should not be taken lightly! He does emphasize aftercare, and he won't do the surgery if you don not agree to follow up visits and proper dietary intake. I rate Dr. Laws a "10" (even though he scared me to death). I found him to be a warm, honest gentleman with vast experience in his field. Relax and be yourself with him, and he will return the favor. He is a great surgeon and a wonderful man."
