My best wishes to you on your upcoming surgery. I hope all goes well for you and that you have a speedy, problem free recovery. My husband and I BOTH had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in 2001. I had mine in June and have lost 110 lbs with about 30 more to go. My husband had his in Oct. 2001 and has lost 215 lbs and is at goal. We both have the greatest respect for all of the doctors at PB and the staff too. We had the best treatment from our surgeon, Dr. Rumsey. He is fantastic!!! We also had great treatment at Scripps/Mercy hosp. The staff there is well trained and they take good care of you. Good luck to you on your journey to the losing side!!

Alicia, Congrats on your approaching surgery. Sure, it is very normal to feel sad and happy about surgery. Many of us have resorted to our friend food for everything good or bad that happens in our lives. You will be able to go out to your favorite places to dine after a while. What will amaze you is how the foods that were once your favorites will no longer be foods you crave. Eating out takes some pratice. You also learn that you can go out with friends and actually enjoy conversations instead of focusing on what you will order from the menu. Time is the element to many great evenings of socialization. God speed. KimmieTN
