YEA JULIE!!! That's the day after my real birthday! Doesn't it feel good to have a date. Best wishes on any other pre-op stuff you have to do...and if there is none then just relax and try not to think about the wait.

JULIE~ ~CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING YOUR DATE~~ Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined. Dream what you want to dream. Go where you want to go. Be what you want to be because you have only one life and only one chance to do all the things you want to!!

Hi Julie, If you are looking for a little inspiration...look up Lissa Reed. She was 686lbs when she had her WLS. I'm only two weeks post op so I don't have any wonderful stories to tell (yet). But my clothes are certainly looser! Remember that if you decide to do this, you need to be doing it for yourself first. I can't believe that someone that loves you would not want you to live longer, happier and healthier. See if there is an open support group meeting in your area to take your husband to. If he has questions about the process then he can get the answers there. Good luck!

Hi there, My name is Judith. I am 5'10" and my first visit with my surgeon I weighed 476 pounds, so I know where you are coming from. I too questioned that no one seemed to be as severely overweight as me. I have a great surgeon in L.A. and he is operating on me April 21. If you want to talk please feel free to contact me. I understand your fears because I am there too. Good luck sweetie and know people care. Judith Holtz
