"From the moment I walked into Lenox Hill till I walked out, Lenox Hill was very patient oriented. They were expecting me (my biggest fear was they hadn't registered me) and my wait to the OR was minimal. I think I was maybe left alone at one point, 10 minutes right before the walk to the OR. "

"2.26.04 Met Dr. Leitman for the firt time 2 days ago when I went for my first consultation. He was very gentle in manner. He very thoroughly explained the procedure he does, the Roen Y Gastric Bypass. He explained about the window of weight loss opportunity which is between the 3rd and 14th month, the first two being mostly water weight loss. He explained the risks, which I had already finished obsessing about (task # 4). I probably didn't have as many questions as some because I am a voracious reader and have been reading everything I can get my hands on from Carnie Wilson's two books, to "A Complete Guide To Obesity Surgery" by, Bryan G. Woodward, MPH, LCEP. I've been on this site for 4 months, reading, reading and READING. Also, I cheated and escorted a friend to her first appointment which was two weeks before mine with another surgeon, acquiring much information during her office consult which they very kindly let me sit through with her. "
