Hi Carol, I'd say don't be nervous but, heck, I was! Of course it was for nothing (except I burned a few extra calories) because my surgery went fine. The surgery itself is way down there in my book of the hardest things I've ever done but waiting for my surgery day is way up there at the top. In fact, the week before surgery was much harder than the week after. For me anyway. After surgery I had soreness more than pain. My back hurt more than my incision (go figure). Remember to keep it positive. That means only positive people around you. The negative people are ill-informed and will just sap you of your confidence. I hope all your health and weight-loss dreams come true. Mine did. All the best,

Hi Carol, I too had Dr. Baggs (surgery 1/6/04) he is great. Good luck on your surgery, you will do great. One word of advice, as soon as you get out of recovery, start asking for a private room. I started out sharing a room, mentioned how I would like a private room, and they moved me as soon as one became available. It was great there was enough room for my entire family (husband, 3 kids, 1 niece and my mom and dad) to visit. Best of luck to you, you are in my thoughts.
