Ah Glenda!! Didn't I tell you that it was tough?? But how do you feel now girlfriend?? You need to update,cuz when I talked to you a WEEK ago, you were down 22 lbs!! and that was before two weeks of post op!!!! Tell em girlfriend!! Hugs,Robyn

Glenda H- Sweetie, your post made me cry. Those words could have been written by ME 7.5 weeks ago. I promise that IT DOES GET BETTER!! Not everyone has an EASY time of this surgery, and I applaud you for speaking YOUR truth. I finally feel great, and I am glad that I took this incredible step, but it took me WEEKS to get to this point. Hang in there sweetie

Hi Everyone, Well I'm home. I'm seven days post-op. No one can prepare you for this! I would never tell anyone to do this. This surgery is not for everyone. This is definitly a decision that YOU have to make, and make sure you research, research, research. Go to your support meetings and do more RESEARCH!!! My hospital stay was a nightmare. Some nurses, and I use the term loosely, it should be against the law to treat people the way I was treated. My surgeon, I still think he is great. I'm not doing all that great. I'm not getting enough water and such for fear of tearing open my stiches, so therefore I'm real weak, and I'm having severe back pain. But other than that I'm fine.(ya right) Thank you everyone for your prayers and postings. Thank you, My Angel Mary Jane from Boston, Robyn, Joanna and to my Husband who is taking much better care of me then any old nurse could. Bye for now .

Glenda is at home now and resting. Hubby is home to take the kids everywhere and friends are bringing dinners for her and the family. she is having some back pain and has been ambivilent about taking her pain meds. I just told her to drink up!! LOL! But she is on the other side now!! YAY!!!! Keep your eye on the prize Glenda! Hugs, to you!!

Hi everyone, and welcome to the other side Glenda. My daughter Cindi Brewer, had her surgery the same day and they are just a few doors away from each other...I went into see her and she looked really good... in Pain but that is to be expected...She and Cindi had a chat Monday night to compare notes..Hang in there Glenda, and God Bless...I know this is a tought one, but you seem like the type to make it a success... see you soon xo Cin's Angel and Mom, Susie

HI everybody!! Glenda is doing a little bit better, is really blessed about the outpouring of love from AMOS! What a great bunch! I didn't talk to her today but I think she is coming home tomorrow, I will post an update tomorrow sometime!

^j^ In Overdrive! Visited with Glenda and her husband, Mom & Dad (What terrific folks!). She is very sore and fighting bad headaches! She did get up and walk for us though and even went further than originally "negiotiated"! Way To Go Angel Baby! I was so proud of you! Again, hang on tight Tootsie! Your ride has just begun! The Luckiest Angel! Jo

I was able to talk to the nurse on the floor...Glenda had just come out of surgery and they were trying to get her pain under control. I will call again tomorrow and talk to her husband.

HI everybody!! I just talked to Glenda Hughes hubby and she did fine in the surgery!! Praise the Lord!! Hernia taken and stomach stapeled and out in 3 hours! that is so great! She is in alot of pain (naturally) but has the pump in hand. I will be going to visit her in the hospital in the morning so if you could all be sure to post to her and keep her in your prayers!!
