well hi ya all! am 17 days post op and feeling ok. it was a very intense experience,but i survived. right now i have an infection in my incision so now i have an open wound that is draining. i am just concentrating on sleeping and getting my protein in. watching my diabetes and trying to stay positive. as of tues the 24th i am 27lbs lighter! it is almost anticlimatic. but it feels good. anybody with ques just ask and i will try to help. love ruby(lily)

Ruby, I've been thinking about you alot. There hasn't been any update, I hope that you are well and feeling allright. You must be home by now. I'm very anxious to know how you are doing. I pray that everything is ok.

***angel update*** Hi all: I spoke to Ruby this morning, and she says all reports are that the surgery went just fine. She says her stomach feels like a truck hit her (!) and she's a little itchy from the pain meds, but otherwise, she sounded groggy but good. --Shelley T

***angel update*** According to the hospital, Ruby came safely through surgery and went to the recovery room at 1:05 p.m. EDT today. She is listed in "satisfactory" condition. I will post additional updates as I get more info. Join me in welcoming Ruby to the other side!

Lily, May God send his angels to watch and protect you as you undergo your surgery today. I Pray that his angel of comfort will help you through any pain you endure. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, and what a wonderful, happy, and healthier life it will be! Rest easy and pray.
