I have to say I was very dissappointed when I called Cigna on Friday to check to see if they had my authorization logged in. You see, I work in the healthcare field, so I know within two days of receipt they log the request in, even if they have not made a determination. The woman told me they had not received any requests from Dr. Duncan's office. So at that point I knew it had not been faxed over on Tuesday as I had been previously told. So I called Dr. Duncan's office and they, to put it in a nut shell are just holding it. No explanation or anything. I was told to call back today to make sure it was faxed. I called back this afternoon and guess what? I was told again it had not been faxed and to try back again tomorrow. Now I must say this is not rubbing me right, at least you could have a reason to prolong this lengthy process. I feel like I did my part getting everything to you, now you can at least just fax the paperwork. Push the 10 digits into the fax machine and fax the paperwork. Okay I just needed to say it, I am trying so hard to remain professional, I know none of my patients would tolerate this mess from my office, and I just wish people would not treat you like, look sister you need me, I do not need you. So I'll get to it, when I get to it. Of course I will be calling tomorrow, and I hope they have faxed it because I do not know if I can continue to be polite. ; ( The sad part is the woman I am dealing with has already had the surgery and she looks awesome, I hope she does not forget how it was for her on ther other side.
