Sharron may angel protect you on your journey. I has the same surgery Oct 15- my best advice is to move as soon as possible. How I was supposed to walk the first nite with a NG tube with long attacked drainage bag, foley catheter with long bag on other side of bed, and a huge IV pole plugged into the wall, and to add the cherry on top ozygen prongs up my nose. I still chuckle now at how they ever throught I was going anywhere. Your sense of humor will be your best friend post-op. I found a big long body pillow to be my best friend at home it enables me to sleep in a real bed on my side with all my sore tummy surrounded. luv' your guts..Amanda
