Hi Marcy, I'm in the same situation with my "best friend", also. I understand feeling uncomfortable with her being there, but please try not to let them cause you any added stress. The surgery is enough to think about and it's a wonderful thing you're doing for yourself. Hopefully, your best friend will come around once she sees the benefits.
