I'm wishing you an uneventful, complication free surgery and a speedy, smooth recovery. I had my open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and am so glad I did. Its the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your new life as a healthy person.

Jen, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. You've got one great angel there, in Liza. She has the most lovely spirit. I'm glad she has you there to support her, too. May peace and love surround you on your journey and carry you along safely. Remember to drink your water, take your vitamins, walk daily and most importantly, be gentle with yourself along the way. Lastly, don't forget to stop by occasionally and update your profile. As you know, our profiles provide a lifeline to others embarking on this journey. You never know who you might inspire!

UPDATE, UPDATE, UPDATE!!!
Everyone, please rally around my friend Jen. She got her surgery date for March 14, just one month away.
Before I had my surgery, I mentioned it to her @ work one day and she confided in me that she was interested in this, too. Ever since, she has been an incredible source of support for me. She even had lunch w/me today, when I was sweating the Valentine's Day Lunch my company was having.
Jen has uplifted around me, encouraged me and been more special to me than she will ever know. She says I inspire her, but she doesn't know how much she inspires me.
The best part is I get to be Jen's Angel and I'm thrilled about it. Jen, you're on your way kiddo! What a year this will be!!! MUAH!!!
