APRIL KRUSER AND OTHER EARLY PLATEAUER's,
I plateaued from week two to week eight. It's not that unusual and perfectly normal. These early "plateaus" are because your body goes into starvation mode from the rapid reduction of calories. It takes a couple of weeks post-op, because of reserves in your body. Once your body realizes it's getting sufficient nutrition, you will start losing again. Don't be alarmed if it takes a couple of weeks. Eat as much protein as you can manage, and all your water- AND measure yourself. Your body WILL change size during this time- ALOT! This is a normal reaction, so don't let it depress you. Keep track of other changes in your body- the scale is only one measure, and the BEST MEASURE OF SUCCESS IS YOUR IMPROVING HEALTH. Don't get caught up in the comparison game- Celebrate your unique journey!
