"The hospital is rather old and undergoing renovations. A bit of a mess during my stay, but OK. I got lucky and got the room to myself so that was nice."

"Dr. Bhoyrul was wonderful. I highly recommend him! I had my first consult on 6/28 and he took time to explain the procedures that he thought I should consider (Roux-en-Y and Lap band) and answered all of my questions without rushing me or making me feel like I was taking too much time. He encouraged me to exercise more - something I need to do - and was very positive about my success with whichever procedure I picked. I chose the lap band for many reasons and am comfortable with my decision. After meeting with Dr. Bhoyrul a few times, I am very confident with his ability and skill. The only negative thing I have to say is that at my last appointment, he said that he would submit me for approval, but I was not to gain any weight. I guess that irritated me, but I'm sure he has a good reason to say it. I'm sure there are those patients who go on the "last supper" binge before surgery. I just think it could have been said a little differently, but the same point made. This still doesn't change my opinion of him. He's a terriffic doctor."
