"Seems like a nice guy. I came very well-prepared, as a very motivated candidate for surgery. Turns out one of my good buddies is a personal friend of Dr. Simonowitz, and vouches for his character. I was a little surprised that he didn't require a psych eval or a consult with a nutritionist. I've already done 7 years of therapy, and totally know what's at stake here. And I've been studying all about post-op nutrition. But other patients who aren't as prepared might miss valuable pieces of their treatment.
