"I had my consult with Dr. Rabkin on 3/21/01. You first start off with a nice, easy to understand, but quite informative lecture by his Clinical Nurse Delphine. Delphine explains the surgery, all its risks, complications and the entire procedure from top to bottom. She then gives you a written exam to make sure you understood the operation. The operation I am going for is the BPD/DS surgery. Dr. Rabkin specializes in this and has been doing this quite a long time. There is an after care program and several support groups that meet during the month. I attended a support group meeting prior to my first conult and all I heard were raves about Dr. Rabkin. When I met Dr. Rabkin after the meeting with is nurse, he was thorough and explained eveything again. I did find his bedside manner lacking when he answered his cell phone in the midst of my physical examination. Other than that, I have no negative comments. "
