Well, it's been 5 months! I am down to 210!!! That is 57 pounds! The last couple of months have been quite stressful and slow but, I'm keeping my chin up. Good luck to all of you!

Well, it's been 3 weeks. I feel so great! At my 2 week check-up I had lost 17 pounds! I am completely off of my diabetes meds. My sugars are running normal on their own. Today, I get to progress to pureed food. It will be exciting. I look forward to life now!

Lyndsey, Congratulations on your surgery! I know you're probably feeling a little rough right now. The first 2 weeks are the toughest and then it gets a little better each day. Dr. Berkowitz did my WLS May 22, 2001. I know you are in good hands. Get up and move around as much as possible. It will help you recover faster. A WLS friend,

Thank you to all who have posted. It is really nice to hear encouraging words. Only 3 days left and I will be on the other side. I am so excited and SOOOO nervous. I just keep telling myself how I need this surgery to become healthy and how some of my dreams COULD come true when I lose weight. My biggest dream is to lose the weight and my other dream is to become a successful singer. (We all know how the music industry is picky when it comes to looks.) Thanks again to everyone. Good luck to all of you who are going in soon for your surgery. It may seem nerve wracking right now, but it will all be worth it!!!
