Hey Guys and Gals,
I was two weeks post op on Thursday. So far no complications. I have lost an unofficial 25lbs. (on my scale). I am focusing on getting my protien and vitamins in and am getting plenty of water. My new stomach is so tiny! I get full very quickly and sometimes can not believe the amounts that I get full on. I am eating about a 1/4 cup of Harmony cereal with a bit of milk in the mornings and then protien at two more meals. I have been taking iron every other day, b-12 sublingual, centrum liquid vitamins, calcium citrate and 2 chewable calcium carbinate (yes, the ones that taste like chocolet and caramel, lol) and I am hoping that I am doing enough to keep heathy. I also drink a cup of milk each day. And I keep my protenex handy so that I can add it to my water if I feel like I am low on protien. I need to start putting some veggies into my diet as well -- BUT WHERE DO THEY FIT??? All in all I am still so glad that I made this healthy decision. There have been a few moments when I missed my old friend food, but I was prepared for that so it has not been too bad.
Take care all and God bless you all as you make your journey to a heathier you!
Love,
Heather
