My instructions for at-home care of my drain site were in opposition to those of my surgeon, however, and I ended up with a reaction to adhesive tape from dressing the site rather than leaving it to air dry. "

"Dr. Namaan seemed like a very quiet, focused surgeon, full of information and dedication to his skill. He gave me a brochure describing the surgery and all the risks involved. I had done quite a bit of research so I didn't have too many questions--mainly how long to plan on being off work and what happens to the cut away portion of the stomach (what was its function for the rest of my life). I was very impressed with his office staff on my initial visit. Pam was wonderful and Amanda was full of information regarding the time line involved from that appointment forward. "
