One week after surgery and I am doing fine. Thanks to all who have posted. And mostly thanks to Rosemary who appeared at my bedside after surgery with a gift in hand and mostly her well wishes. What a wonderful person.
I am still hurting when I stand and look forward to the end of the hurting, but I know it will come in time. This can't happen fast enough for me.
I find that I do get hungry, but small amounts see to suffice. Have had no bad reactions to anything (but haven't really pushed much yet). Had 2 melba toast with pimento today and thought I was in heaven.
So thanks again to all.

Dyna...I hope this day is only a beginning of a much brighter future. You have many many happy milestones to look forward to. May the Angels above gently guide your surgeons hands as he brings you over to the losing side.
