Hello Nickie. Well I bet you are just a bunch of nerves right now! My surgery was on the 12th of April. I had a open VBG. I was very blessed to have a uncomplicated surgery and so far my recovery has been as normal. No problems.. I Pray the same happens for you.. I pray that GOD will guide your surgeons hands.. I thought I might let you know that if you could you might want to bring a little fan to the hospital. Even tho they keep the rooms freezing I was about to die of heatstroke! Also, I was itching everywhere! My legs and feet were driving me crazy. Felt like someone was tickling me with a feather. I wish I would have brought a back scratcher or something to reach them with.(You can't hardly move for the first few hours) Thank GOD my hubby was there!! I drove him crazy asking him to get up every 10 minutes to scratch something! We will see you on the other side.. PS there is a VBG online support group at www.onelist.com. It is really great. Just go to the site and type in vbg for the group. You get great info from other vbgers! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!
