Jenny, My best wishes are going out to you...When we learn of a death of one of our fellow members it really makes you think again about what you are doing. This is a serious surgery and not for the ones that might be able to do other things to achieve their goals. A person that I met here on this site and had developed a friendship with passed away the week before my surgery. I never looked back or slowed down with my choice. One of the things that we talked about was that living the way we did was truely worse then death. I grived for him but also celebrated his life. He was a wonderful man trapped in the body of a person that he could no longer live with. I know that he looks down and smiles for me as he sees that I no longer am trapped in that body that I had. I am thankful that we had the experience of knowing and supporting one another and that in the life he now leads is not filled with cruel people or all the fat jokes. Think of what you really need and rest assured in your decision. We all took a risk when we had surgery but I would do it again if I had to just to have the quality of life that I have enjoyed the past few months. God bless... KimmieTN
