Well it's finally over and Audrey begins a new life. I was so amazed at this procedure, she was taken to surgery at 8:23 AM and at 9:00 AM Dr. Overcash was informing us that all was well. She spent more time in recovery than in surgery, we finally got to see her at 12:45 in her room. At 5:30 PM she was walking to the nurses station. I'm so proud of her!!! As of today she's up and walking and the BIG complaint from Audrey is the tube in her nose! She's so happy it comes out tomorrow and on Monday morning she'll be home. Thank you Dr. Overcash for my best friend's new beginning............

Hang in there audrey, i know what its like wehn you wait and wait for something just to have it ripped out from under you! but i guess today is your reschedual so good luck and congradulations! I have to wait till dec 16 for my surgery. sniff. :) let us all know how your doing when you feel better. Im jealous!! hehe. anna banana

I was scheduled to have surgery on Thursday, Sept 12 and was at the hospital being set up to have surgery when Dr. Overcash canceled. He cancelled at 8:30 and the surgery was scheduled for 9:00 am. Someone said it was an emergency with his mother. I have to wait until Monday to try and reschedule my surgery. I am so devastated and depressed.

Hello Audrey....hope your surgery was a success. Hang in there..I hear it will get better. I had my surgery July 17, and have lost 47 lbs. I am now down to 191 from 238. I lived in Brandon for 14 years before moving to NC. Keep the faith! Your friend Melinda Woodward
