Hi Sharon, I live in Valley Springs, not that far from you. My surgery was 5-21-01, have lost 233 lbs. and life is totally different now ! I see your surgery is 11-8 -- do what the doc says and you will be fine ! I just spent two days in Reno with another friend who had the surgery on Thursday, laperoscipic (sp) and she was up and walking around that same evening, doing great -- but much to learn about food ! Keep encouraged and you will be fine ! vjdaraitis@aol.com

Congratulations on your surgery date! IT'S JUST 3THREE SHORT DAYS AWAY!!! YIPPIE & YAHOO!!! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Not to mention the look on YOUR face when you look at those pictures and compare them in a few months! It’ll be a BIG WOW!!! Please remember too, that this is a *tool* to use. Make sure you use it wisely. The first year it’s pretty easy, after that I’ve been hearing that it gets increasingly difficult. Choose the right foods and measurements wisely! Good luck and God Bless!!! RNY 10/31/03 257/133 I’M AT GOAL!!! Hi Sharon, Well we will be in the hospital at the same time but you will be on the losers bench 2 days before me. It would be nice to meet you before you check out so will try to hook that up. My prayers and thoughts will be with you on Monday for a blessed surgery and a speedy recovery. Hugs.............Pam

Hey Sharon! Congratulations on your surgery date! I will save you a seat on the losers bench girlfriend! This scripture has meant so much to me on my WLS journey. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." I pray that you will claim this promise as your own as your journey takes you to a new healthier life. God Bless You!
