Karen has successfully crossed over to the "other side," and God has once again answered our prayers. I had tried to get in touch with Karen yesterday, but the hospital kept saying that she wasn't in her room. I was so relieved when her husband, Spence, called me to relay the good news. They had to be at BTC at 9:30, and Karen was Dr. Bistolarides' third surgery of the day. I guess the person before her took much longer than anticipated, for Karen didn't have the surgery until around 4:00 P.M. I bet that was the longest wait of her life. But, Karen, I know you won't believe me today, but it will all be worth it!:)
I called Karen's room about 7:00, for I thought her husband would answer. I was amazed when she answered the phone herself. I doubt if she will remember that she talked to me, but at least I knew that she was out of surgery.
Once again I called Karen this morning. She was not feeling well, for she said that she was very nauseated. Consequently, I only talked to her a second so that she knows that we are thinking about her and praying for her rapid recovery. I have decided not to visit Karen until tomorrow since she will feel more like visitors then. I am very excited to meet her and also spend time with my dear angel, Diane Lizyness, who is going to meet me there. We are both bringing our hubbies, so we're all looking forward to seeing Karen and Spence.
You remain in our thoughts and prayers, Karen!
