Shelley; Today is your BIG day!!! By now, you are probably on the "other side" of the weight loss issue!!! I can relate to you so well, I am 51 yrs old, from Saginaw, Mi., and have autoimmuine diseases, I had surgery on 9-05-01, and have lost 64 pounds!!! Soon, you will be posting numbers too!! Dear Shelley...well here we go. This is the beginning of our wonderful new lives. It will be nice to go through this together. Can't wait till we get home and can talk about our hospital stays. Hi everyone..I must say that with all the well wishes and prayers and happy thoughts you all are sending me, it has made a huge difference in my life.I thought that maybe one person would respond..wow..did i get tricked LOL..am feeling quite jittery tonight..I don't like feeling this way either..well..tomorrow is the day...I will go on...love ya all and good luck to you!!!((HUGS)) Shelley

Shelley, Dr. Lane did my surgery too! He is so great! I just hit my two month mark, only a couple of days after I'd officially lost 50 lbs. I think Dr. Lane is fantastic, and he & the staff were wonderful when I was in the hospital. The pain is not fun, but walk as much as you can, use the morphine pump, and try to remember that you'll feel better every day. You are in very good hands at BTC, and you're about to start a wonderful new exciting journey. I'll be thinking of you Friday. Best wishes! Claire
