Flying in for a final update.... I talked to Paddy today, she got to come home from the hospital last night after 7 days. Her swallow test went wonderful and she got to eat some yummy yellow jello! She said it was the best thing she ever tasted! She will probably post herself soon, but would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support, she said they really worked! She was out galavanting around Walmart today, so she is feeling MUCH better! Congrats Paddy, and welcome home! You are truly on the other side!

Angel Update..... Our WLS sister Paddy is still in the hospital (Since last Monday). She is getting antsy to come home and get back to her every day routine. Paddy has/had a small leak after her lap surgery last week, and will be undergoing another test tomorrow morning to see that all is well. She has requested our prayers that the test will come out negative for leaks. Please everyone, let's send out some words of prayer and encouragement to Paddy. We have faith that you'll be home with us in no time, hang in there Paddy. We will all be praying for you.

I just talked to Paddy's daughter Jennifer, and Paddy has a small leak. The doc has decided to keep her in the hospital until Friday to keep a close eye on her. Please, any post ops that have had this problem, send Paddy some words of encouragement. I will be taking her the list tomorrow when I visit. Paddy, we are praying for you and wish you a safe and speedy recovery.

Good news! Paddy came through surgery yesterday just fine. Everything went very well, and last night she was asking for water and pain meds. Her surgeon came in the waiting room and told us if she was feeling up to it, she could even come home today if she wanted to! Hopefully she will stay an extra day or so to be monitored. She said she was in pain, but her daughter said she was in good spirits and was glad it's over. She is very happy with her little "lap" scars! Let's all wish Paddy a speedy recovery. I will go to see her later this morning, so I will update again soon!

Paddy...I am scheduled for the same day and we are getting closer...I am from Bend Or and am having my surgery in Portland at Regency Good Samaritain. I posted my surgery date but it has not shown up on the list of people who have the same date. Don't know what that's about...Best of luck to you and I will stay in touch...Lonna Grell
