I had surgery almost 12 weeks ago, and am down 74lbs. I am very happy with the way things are going so far. I do not get sick, have any kind of dumping, and can eat pretty much anything I try with no nausea. I am right on target to lose 100 lbs in 6 months, maybe even sooner. I would like to send out a prayer for everyone having surgery this week, those who are recovering, and to those of you waiting for approval.... Hang in there, It will happen, and when it does, it is TOTALLY worth it.

Hi everyone! I have been a busy little (well, not quite yet!) angel so I havn't updated on my surgery in a while. I had the DGB/DS with Dr. Anthone on 4/18 and I am feeling wonderful! I weighed in yesterday and have lost 48 lbs in 5 weeks and 5 days! I feel so much better than I did before surgery, it really is a miracle that this opportunity is out there to help us. I thank God every day for this opportunity. My clothes are getting baggier, and I am feeling so full of energy. I am getting antsy to go back to work now, I have about 2 or 3 weeks left! Thanks again to everyone here for all your support, I wouldn't have gotten through without you!

Kim, You did it. You are on your way.. I am next. In fact in 3 days.... I am nervous, however am very excited. I am so proud of you, as my day nears I know the bravery it takes to make this difficult and scary decision. May the positive Karma of our "1997" group always be with us. I need to remember that the sister hood surrounds me with love and best wishes. Wow did you feel that emotional right before your operation date? I just want to tell everyone how much they mean to me...Enough of the sista hood. I will see you soon, I will be the one in the Tight size 12 purple leather jeans. Love, Paddy

Congratulations Kim! I had my surgery last year with Dr. Anthone and I just had another surgery for hernia repair and abdominoplasty with Dr. Anthone and Dr. Downey. Hang in there and remember with every minute that passes you are feeling better. I hope that everything goes very well for you. Did you ever believe that crushed ice could taste so good??? ~*~*YAHOO~*~* I just left Kim and her husband at the hospital as they were preparing her to transfer to a real room out of ICU. She looked wonderful! Very alert and happy to be sitting in a chair. Welcome to the other side Baby! The Luckiest Angel
