"Dr. Sawyna was great. When I first met him, he was warm and engaging. He inquired about my reasoning for having the WLS performed. After I expressed my feelings, he got into the 'bad' things that could occur. I felt this was important. Almost like he was trying to make sure I knew the gravity of the steps I have started down.
Dr. Sawyna's office staff is great. The program they are involved in at Sacred Heart Hospital is wonderful. It really is a team approach. I live about 2 hours from him and the hospital, so having his staff arrange multiple appointments for one day is great.
The one aspect of his team approach that I am thrilled about is in surgery. There will be two surgeons performing this operation. They work in tandem, with Dr. Sawyna taking the lead. But having that extra set of eyes overseeing the procedure is very reassuring to me. "
