I tried to call Karen last night but was unable to reach her. When I talked to her this morning she told me she was in surgery for 6 hours yesterday and didn't get back to her room until late last night. She did have the LAP procedure and Dr. Alperovich ended up removing her gallbladder so that added another 1/2 hour to the surgery time.
Obviously Karen sounded very groggy when I talked to her and said she was having some discomfort and a very dry mouth. But overall she sounded very good given what she endured yesterday. We didn't get to talk long because they came to get her for an x-ray which I am assuming is her leak test.
I am planning to go to the hospital this afternoon to visit with her and I would like to take her surgery page full of AMOS FAMILY LOVE. So, please take a moment to send her your thoughts and well wishes. Thanks everyone!

ANGEL UPDATE ~~~~~ I just spoke with Karen in the hospital and she is anxiously awaiting her surgery scheduled for 2:45 p.m. cst. She sounds absolutely terrific and I am so excited for her. In a few hours she will have crossed over to the losing side and I can't wait for her to join me in this wonderful journey. Please keep her in your thoughts or say a quick prayer for her.
I will update later after she gets out of surgery.

WATCH OUT ~~~ SPEEDING ANGEL COMING IN FOR AN EMERGENCY LANDING ... My sweet Angel and good friend, Karen Ponzevic, is now preparing for her LAP surgery which is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. When I talked with her earlier today, she had just finished her 1st wonderful mag citrate "cocktail" and sounded really great and ready for her surgery.
Five weeks ago when I had my surgery, Karen was the most wonderful Angel and provided so much support for me and my husband. I hope to return the kindness. Please take a second to stop by her surgery page to offer her some last minute support and best wishes. Thanks AMOS family!
