Well I met with my PCP today. She seemed to be trying to figure out as much information as she could give them to approve the surgery. She asked me if I excercise and my thought was this...if I excercised would I really be this big?? So she was very supportive but she didnt want me to get my hopes up because she wasnt sure if it would be approved. Her nurse told me that she has just sent a refural for gastric bypass last week for someone and it got denied. I asked the nurse if that person had as many co morbids as I did not to mention my family history. She said no and that person wasnt as big as me either. This was just someone who had tried alot of diets and wanted the surgery... so what do you think? My chanced are good I hope??? Should know more in 2 weeks

Hi everyone I have my first appointment with my PCP on Tuesday. I have contacted my insurance company and if the PCP approved it then the surgery is completely covered. That was my last excuse for not having it! It is not going to cost me a penny!!! There is a certain peace in knowing I have made the right decision for my and for my family! My Husband is so excited for me and he is so supportive! Cant wait to start my whole new life!! Anyone out there have health net and have their surgery at Providence St. Joseph in Burbank? Would love to hear your thoughts. A very special thank you to my brother and sister for all their support, I think this is going to be a real adventure!
