I talked to Nikki's husband about 7:30 pm, and he said everything went as planned. I am so happy for her! I am leaving in the morning to go to Little Rock to visit her. Pray for Nikki to have a speedy recovery and happy losing! Ashlea

Nikki, You hang tough and do what you have to do to get back home to us. We're all praying for you and know that you will be just fine. The first three weeks are difficult, but after that...the big losses start. You're going to be amazed at how quickly you lose. Take care and know that we care for you. Hugs, Dinah

Hi everyone- Nikki has made it with "flying colors," says her husband, to the other side. She went in to surgery at about 12:15 and the surgery took about 1 1/2 hours. I'll talk to her tomorrow or the next day to see how she's doing. As of 7:45p.m., she hadn't been up to walk yet, so that was supposed to happen soon! Yeah, Nikki...you've made it through and the best is yet to come!

Nikki's surgery was scheduled for 9:00 this morning but someone got put ahead of her. She was supposed to go in at 11:00, but when I left at 11:00a.m. they hadn't come back to get her yet. She was very upbeat, peaceful and ready to get on with it! She had a problem with nausea when all the meds were put in her IV all at once, but that settled down after some more medicine. Keep Nikki in your prayers today and I'll update again after I talk to her later this afternoon. She appreciates all the support and good wishes. I'll make sure she sees your comments!
