I went to see Lisa on Thursday at the hospital. She had just gotten settled in her room, but they decided to move her a step down of the ICU because her blood gases were a little lower than normal and it could not be monitored on the regular floor. Her husband commented this had happened also at the birth of her daughter, so it seemed to be something normal for her. The levels had raised after testing was completed a few hours earlier and they expected that she would return to a regular room today.
Lisa was really out of it, as expected, BUT when she a woke a few times, she kept saying she couldn't believe how GREAT she felt (got to love those drugs they give you!) She was just very thankful to know she made it through surgery (with flying colors)and was immediately asking about her little love.
Today, if still in ICU stepdown, she can be reached at 937-328-8619 if anyone wants to say hello!
I think Lisa will do absolutely wonderful with her recovery and new life - she has such an enthusiasm and zest for life and is determinded to face this challenge head on so the quality of her life with her husband and her daughter can be one she enjoys every single day! Her friendship has been a true blessing in my life and I thank God every day that he brought us together.
I will post again on Saturday once I visit Lisa again and see how she is doing!
Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers -I know Lisa really appreciates them!
Hugs,
