Hi Barbra, Just read your post... I use soy milk.. its sold in lots of stores usually in the health food section... they have different flavors.. vanilla, chocolate, etc....I found that after surgery I became lactose intollerant :( Icant do milk products... only the pasturized cheese and yogurts work..... good luck to you .. :) Karen

Hi, Gang, I am back from the hospital had the RNY last Friday came home yesterday afternoon. I miss my morphin..LOL - I could kick butt on that stuff. But I'm not moving to bad... I didn't know I have so many bleches and burps in me after the surgery. Sorry to be so crude - but passing the first gas was just the most awful pain I have ever had. The surgery itself was easier than my c-section. But the Gas pain floored me. OUCH! Hope others going in have a better time with the air than I did. Good to be home- Hubby is watching the kids and I am watching "sappy movies" - I have SHREK in th eline up but don't think I can handle any laughing right now... Wanted to pop in.... My doctor suggests milk powder for extra protein. I'm getting sick of the taste any suggestion for something I can supplement the milk powder with so I don't get bored? Thanks, Barb

Barb: You have my prayers on Friday 1000%, although you won't need them. Dr. Howell is the BEST! I was there, in your shoes, just about 8 months ago, and I have had not one single problem. He really is the best around and I will see you on the other side!!! Maybe, just maybe, if I can since I live close by to Fargo, I'll come see you in there ... it'll be ok, I promise! This is Barb's sister popping in. Only 1 day left and she's off to surgery Friday AM. She's pretty excited and nervous at the same time. My mom will be here tomorrow night to go with her to the hospital Friday AM. Send a little note her way. I know she'd love it. She has been reading the boards and profiles for almost 2 years now. She can't believe it's finally her turn to get to the "other side". Thanks for being her other family. Thanks- Becky
