07/09/03: I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during my hospital stays. I'm doing really good and feeling better and better each day. LifeWise wouldn't pay for my gastric bypass surgery. I'm hoping they will cover the costs for my second hospitalization and surgery. I'm not going to post details right now because I don't want to give LifeWise any further ammo to use against me. Please remember me in your prayers that they will cover the expenses looming over me and my family. So far it's not looking good. Having surgery is stressful enough - added financial burdens don't help. I feel so strongly that we all need to fight for legislation to mandate insurance coverage for WLS. I don't want anyone coming after me to have to go through the insurance battles I have. Please fight with me.

Tammy, I hope you are home and doing much better now. We had surgery the same day. I am so sorry to hear that you are having problems.

**Angel Flying In** Tammy Rogers went back into the hospital last night for some more surgery. It seems that she had some part of her bowel tissue plugged. They ended up doing another surgery ... LAP and reconnected her bowel... Please Keep Tammy in your prayers for a speedy recovery.....Thank you Karen

5/2/03 I think it's always so much better when you get home in your own bed, your own bathroom, your own couch, etc, etc. You know what I mean. Tammy is catching up on some much needed sleep. It's great to know all the people who care about how she is doing. Now that I know what she has gone thru I can't wait to be on the other side too. This pain will be such a small thing to handle compared to the past 30 years of physical pain.

****Angel Flying in****I was with Tammy last night for some time.. she eally had a rough one ....after about 4 hours of telling the Nurses that her pain was still severe I looked over and saw the IV(pain med) was dripping on the OUTSIDE!!! So fo the first four hours after surgery she had absolutely NO pain meds... so after the fact everyone was really hopping around to get Tammy comfortable...I stayed until midnight to make sure she was comfortable and sleeping well... Please keep Tammy in your prayers...

10:50pm Tammy's surgery started arount 11am and finished between 3 & 3:30pm. All went well and she finaly got to her room about 6pm. She looked absolutely beautiful! She is experiencing some pain and says she is very hot and also thirsty. Thirsty has to wait until tomorrow after leak test. I used a cool washcloth to try and cool her off. I can only hope that I do as well when my time comes next month. Tammy is an exceptional and beautiful woman and one I am proud to call my friend. Kim

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.
